DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Additional Station House Officer (SHO) was martyred and two terrorists were killed in a fierce exchange of gunfire following a terrorist attack on a police mobile van in Sub-Division Darazinda on Saturday.
According to a police spokesperson, the targeted attack occurred in the Morgah area as the police team, affiliated with the Darazinda police station, was en route to the station. The assailants, yet to be identified, opened fire on the police mobile van, prompting the law enforcement team to swiftly respond.
In the ensuing exchange of fire, Additional SHO Din Muhammad valiantly sacrificed his life while engaging the assailants. Simultaneously, two terrorists were neutralized by the police team’s counteroffensive.
The body of the martyred SHO was promptly transported to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ), DI Khan, by the Rescue 1122 team.
Following the tragic incident, a sizable contingent of police and security forces swiftly mobilized to the site to secure the area and conduct further investigations into the attack.
