ISLAMABAD: A shocking audio call leak of senior leaders of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee has surfaced, in which the leaders of the banned group can be heard discussing plans for bloodshed in different parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, including Rawalakot.
According to the contents of the leaked audio call, central leaders of the banned Joint Action Committee, Shaukat Nawaz Mir and Khawaja Mehran, can be heard referring to coordinated unrest and bloodshed in Rawalakot as a prerequisite for actions in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur.
The shocking audio call leak of central leaders of the proscribed Joint Action Committee, Shaukat Nawaz Mir and Khawaja Mehran, made it clear that the purpose of the banned committee was to achieve nefarious objectives through violent attacks.
The audio call between Shaukat Mir and Khawaja Mehran clearly indicates that terrorist attacks and prior planning were being made to cause casualties in Rawalakot.
In the leaked audio call, Shaukat Nawaz Mir is heard saying, “until large-scale violent attacks and clashes take place in Rawalakot, we will not be able to do anything in Muzaffarabad and Mirpur.”
Shaukat Nawaz further said that for the implementation of the plan, the number of law enforcement agencies’ personnel in Rawalakot should be assessed before making a decision.
Khawaja Mehran said that security forces are present in Rawalakot city of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to maintain law and order.
“I am repeating again that until violent attacks and clashes take place in Rawalakot, we will not be able to do anything,” Shaukat Nawaz Mir said.
Pakistan’s State Minister for Interior Tallal Chaudhry said that an immediate investigation into the audio leak call will be initiated by the relevant institutions, as multiple pieces of evidence are available against the proscribed Joint Action Committee
“There have already been multiple pieces of evidence regarding the proscribed Joint Action Committee; however, this phone call is of an extremely serious nature. It requires a complete, comprehensive, and impartial investigation, which will be initiated immediately on an urgent basis by the relevant institutions,” the minister stated in a post on X.

Pakistan’s Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik said that the audio call leak of a leader of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee has uncovered several facts.
“If it is verified, it will not only provide a strong basis for action against the banned group but will also expose its true intentions and violent activities,” Minister Malik said in a post on X.

According to analysts, the leaked audio call has clearly exposed the nefarious designs of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee.
Analysts said that the call proved that the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government’s decision to ban the Joint Awami Action Committee was absolutely justified.
The shocking audio call leak also shows that, in reality, this banned group was merely using public issues as a cover so that more and more youth and the public could be included in their nefarious objectives.
From the very beginning, they wanted to create chaos and unrest in Azad Jammu and Kashmir under the guise of public issues, analysts said.
This is why, despite agreement on most agenda points, the banned group insisted that the protest march on June 9 must go ahead at all costs, analysts said.
The banned Joint Action Committee’s objective under this cover is to carry out attacks on forces from Rawalakot to Muzaffarabad and Mirpur, set fires, and play with lives, according to analysts.
The government should not show any leniency towards this disruptive group, and all violent elements should be brought to justice, analysts said.
