ISLAMABAD: The nationwide seven-day anti-polio campaign commences today (Monday), aiming at vaccinating over 40m children with the anti-polio vaccine and providing them a supplementary dose of vitamin A.
Caretaker Minister for Health Services, Dr. Nadeem Jan, emphasizes the importance of parental cooperation with the vaccination teams to ensure their children receive the necessary vaccinations. He underlines that the eradication of the polio virus is a collective responsibility of every citizen.
The health minister notes that polio cases are now limited to specific regions within the country. Additionally, he mentions the global certification requirement stipulating no reported polio cases for three consecutive years.
