ISLAMABAD: Security forces have foiled an attempt by Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) terrorists to attack the security team escorting the deputy commissioner of Tump and abduct its personnel, officials said on Friday.
The attack took place on Thursday in Tump, a newly established district in southwestern Balochistan near Pakistan’s border with Iran. Heavily armed Terrorists ambushed the deputy commissioner’s convoy and attempted to overwhelm the personnel escorting him.
Security forces responded swiftly, preventing the terrorists from carrying out their plan.
All members of the deputy commissioner’s security escort were safely rescued. The attackers fled the area after abandoning their vehicle and weapons, while several terrorists were injured during the encounter.

The incident highlights the security threat posed by attempts to target government officials and abduct security personnel, with the apparent aim of intimidating state representatives and disrupting government operations.
Security forces remain on alert to protect government officials and maintain the writ of the state across Makran.
Authorities have vowed to continue operations against terrorist networks and their support structures under the Azm-e-Istehkam framework.
