Saudi Islamic Affairs Ministry Holds Symposium in Nepal

KATHMANDU:  The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attaché of the Saudi Embassy in India has organized a symposium on the role of Islam in promoting peaceful coexistence, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.

The symposium titled “Eminence of Islam and its Role in Promoting Peaceful and Social Coexistence,” was held in the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu, with the participation of more than 170 representatives of Islamic associations and organizations.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Awad Al-Anazi, talked about the virtue of Islam and its moderation. He also highlighted the experience of Saudi Arabia in calling for moderate Islam and protecting preserving beliefs and values.

In a speech, Ganesh Prasad, speaker of the Nepalese National Assembly, thanked Saudi Arabia for its efforts and emphasized the importance of coexistence and religious tolerance in all countries across the world.
