Saudi Crown Prince, Syrian President Discuss Prospects of Regional Cooperation

RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Tuesday met in Riyadh with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa and discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the prospects of bilateral relations and avenues for cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Syria, as well as promising opportunities to enhance this cooperation across various fields, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Attending the meeting from the Saudi side were Minister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Secretary to the Crown Prince Dr. Bandar bin Obaid Al-Rasheed, and Advisor at the Royal Court Khalid bin Farid Hadrawi.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shaibani and Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Riyadh Mohsen Mahbash attended the meeting on the Syrian side.

Earlier, the Syrian President was received at King Khalid International Airport by Riyadh Region Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz and several officials.
