ISLAMABAD: The Saudi aid agency, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre has completed the Food Security Support Project 2025-26 in Pakistan.

Under this nationwide humanitarian initiative, food assistance was distributed across 31 districts in Pakistan, including 10 districts in Punjab, five in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, seven in Balochistan, six in Sindh, and three districts in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, state-run Radio Pakistan reported on Monday.

The project was launched to ensure the timely delivery of essential food supplies to the most vulnerable and food-insecure families.

As part of the initiative, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre provided thousands of food packages to deserving households.

Each package weighed 97 kilograms and contained essential food items, including 80 kilograms of flour, five litres of cooking oil, five kilograms of sugar, five kilograms of lentils, and two kilograms of dates.

The distribution process was carried out in coordination with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs), district administrations, and other implementing partners.

The entire operation was conducted in a transparent, efficient, and organised manner to ensure that aid reached the intended beneficiaries without delay.

The initiative highlights the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre’s continued commitment to supporting food security in Pakistan and providing timely humanitarian assistance to communities in need.

Saudi Arabia remains one of Pakistan’s leading humanitarian partners, with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) supporting flood recovery, healthcare, education, and livelihood initiatives across the country.
