ISLAMABAD: Major political parties in Pakistan have termed the outcomes of Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) as a significant milestone in China’s ongoing journey towards modernization and the global leadership.
According to a joint statement, the political parties in Pakistan expressed their commitment to enhance Pakistan-China ties, which stands as cornerstone of peace and prosperity in the region. The event was organized by the Pakistan-China Institute, in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The statement said, “We recognize and commend China’s strategic focus on high-quality economic development as articulated in the Third-Party Session. China’s approach to leveraging the strengths of its vast market while promoting high quality cooperation under the BRI aligns with Pakistan’s own economic strategies.”
The statement said that they are ready to deepen their cooperation with China through China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
According to the Joint statement, China emphasis on cultural development and the enhancement of people’s democracy are key components of its modernization drive. They added that they believe to strengthen cultural ties and promote people to people exchanges with China to enhance bilateral ties. They vowed to further enhance cultural ties with China.
It added that Pakistan is facing environmental issues and challenges but ready to cooperate with China to promote green development. The joint statement concluded that Pak-China strong relationship will serve as a foundation for broader regional stability and cooperation.
