Pakistan Strongly Condemns Houti Attacks on Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday condemned, in the strongest possible terms, the reprehensible attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against civilian and economic targets in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office, in a statement, said that the Houthi militia attacks are a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom, pose a threat to the peace and stability of the entire region, and undermine efforts aimed at securing a peaceful and durable resolution of the conflict in Yemen.

Pakistan reiterated its unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and prosperity of Saudi Arabia and expressed complete solidarity with the leadership, government and people of the Kingdom.

“Pakistan reiterates its unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and prosperity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and stands in complete solidarity with the leadership, Government and brotherly people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” the Foreign Office stated.

Pakistan also conveyed its sincere wishes for the swift and full recovery of all those injured in the attacks.

“Consistent with the UN Charter and international law, Pakistan fully supports the Kingdom’s legitimate right to take all necessary measures to defend its territory, protect its citizens and residents and safeguard its national assets against any threat,” the Foreign Office statement read.

Pakistan has been and will continue to make all efforts for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region, the Foreign Office added.

PM Sharif Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia

Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the Houthi attacks targeting civilian and energy facilities in Saudi Arabia, reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia after the attacks left dozens of people injured.

In a statement posted on X, the prime minister said he condemned the attacks “in the strongest terms” and stood firmly with the Saudi leadership and people.

Pakistan Stands with Saudi Arabia

Prime Minister Sharif expressed solidarity with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and the “brotherly people” of Saudi Arabia.

He said attacks targeting civilian and economic infrastructure threatened innocent lives and undermined peace and security across the region.

The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s “steadfast support” for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. He also prayed for the swift recovery of all those injured in the attacks.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia maintain longstanding strategic and diplomatic relations, with Islamabad repeatedly expressing support for the Kingdom’s security and territorial integrity.
