RIYADH: Several Muslim nations have strongly condemned Houthi militia attacks targeting civilian and economic assets in southern Saudi Arabia, expressing solidarity with the Kingdom and warning that the attacks threaten regional security and stability.
Spokesman for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen (Coalition Forces), Major General Turki Al-Malki, earlier said that terrorist Houthi militia attacks on the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran injured 73 civilians, including women and children.
Gulf Cooperation Council condemnation
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi said that the escalation by the terrorist Houthi militia and its attempts to target Saudi Arabia is a dangerous escalation that confirms the hostile and irresponsible approach of this terrorist militia.
He noted that these attacks were carried out in flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, and with deliberate disregard for the security and safety of civilians and regional stability.

Moreover, the GCC chief underlined that these recurring attacks once again expose the malicious intent of the Houthi group and demonstrate its explicit rejection of all efforts and endeavours aimed at achieving peace and stability in Yemen.
“Targeting civilian installations and national capabilities is a condemned terrorist act that cannot be justified or tolerated under any pretext. The Houthi group’s persistence in these hostile practices represents a blatant challenge to the international community and a direct threat to regional and international peace and security,” he stressed.
He called on the international community to adopt a firm and deterrent position, hold those responsible and their backers accountable, and take action to halt what he described as continued terrorist conduct threatening regional security.
Jordan
Jordan also strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s targeting of civilian and economic assets in Saudi Arabia.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the continued targeting of commercial vessels in the Red Sea, describing the attacks as a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability.

The ministry affirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its security, stability, resources, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Arab League
At the conclusion of its 166th ordinary session, the Council of the League of Arab States at the foreign ministers’ level strongly condemned ongoing Iranian attacks against the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, Jordan, and Iraq, whether direct or through proxies, as violations of sovereignty, territorial integrity, international law, and the United Nations Charter.
The council demanded that Iran immediately and permanently halt all attacks or threats against Arab nations, their territories, citizens, and civilian facilities, urging dialogue and peaceful means to restore regional stability.
The council renewed its condemnation of Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz and its obstruction of navigation in Bab al-Mandab, stressing that these actions threaten maritime corridors, global trade, and international energy security.
The council demanded that Iran immediately and unconditionally reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restore freedom of navigation under international law, including by removing mines and obstacles.
The council held Iran internationally liable for all unlawful acts attributed to it, including full reparation for economic losses and damages inflicted on vessels, ports, maritime infrastructure, and energy facilities.
Qatar
Qatar also strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s attacks targeting civilian and economic assets in Saudi Arabbia.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry described the attacks as a flagrant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a clear breach of international law, warning that they represented a dangerous escalation that threatened regional stability.
Qatar called for an immediate halt to the attacks and reaffirmed its firm rejection of the targeting of civilian assets and vital facilities.

The ministry called on the international community to adopt a decisive stance against these violations and ensure enforcement of relevant UN Security Council resolutions, foremost Resolution 2216 regarding Yemen and Resolution 2722 regarding Red Sea navigation security.
Qatar reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all legitimate measures taken to preserve its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, emphasising that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of the collective security of Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Bahrain
Bahrain has strongly condemned the renewed terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia, which targeted a number of civilian, economic, and vital facilities and sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, injuring scores of civilians.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain stressed that these attacks, along with the continued targeting of commercial vessels and threats to the freedom and safety of international navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, constitute a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the rules of international law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, as well as a blatant challenge to relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

Bahrain reiterated its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its complete support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, and to protect its citizens, residents, and vital facilities, the Bahrain News Agency reported.
It called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and take a firm stance to deter these criminal terrorist attacks and hold those responsible accountable.
Kuwait
Kuwait on Tuesday strongly denounced the Houthi militia’s attacks targeting civilian sites and economic facilities in several Saudi cities, which injured scores of civilians, including women and children.
Kuwait described the attacks as a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, a direct threat to the security and safety of its citizens and residents, a breach of international law and international humanitarian law, and a dangerous and unjustified escalation that could undermine regional security and stability.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condemnation of the Houthi militia’s continued targeting of commercial vessels in the Red Sea, which poses a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation, global energy supplies, and international trade.
Kuwait affirmed its absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and interests, and to protect its people and residents.
Lebanese President condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia
President of Lebanon has condemned the Houthi militia’s terrorist attacks on the Saudi cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, which struck civilian and economic assets and injured scores of civilians, including women and children.

The United Arab Emirates has condemned in the strongest terms the attacks launched by the Houthi group on civilian and economic facilities in the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in dozens of injuries among civilians, including women and children.
The UAE also condemned the continued targeting of commercial vessels in the Red Sea, which poses a threat to the safety of maritime navigation.

Egypt condemned the missile and drone attacks that targeted the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran in the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, resulting in dozens of civilians, including women and children, being injured.
