OKAZAKI, Japan: Pakistan secured the bronze medal in the men’s volleyball competition at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 after defeating China 3-0 in the third-place playoff at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Gymnasium on Saturday. The Green Shirts delivered a commanding performance to end their campaign with a place on the podium.
Pakistan dominated the contest from the start, winning the opening set 25-18 before maintaining their control to complete a straight-sets victory. The win marked a strong response after Pakistan’s semi-final defeat against defending champions Iran.

The bronze medal followed an impressive tournament journey for Pakistan, who began their campaign with a 3-1 victory over Kazakhstan before producing another convincing display against Uzbekistan, winning 3-0 to qualify for the knockout stage.
Pakistan faced their first setback against hosts Japan in the final pool match, suffering a 3-0 defeat. However, they bounced back in the quarter-finals with a memorable victory over India to book their place in the last four.
In the semi-final, Pakistan were unable to overcome Iran, losing 3-0 as the defending champions advanced to the gold-medal match. The Green Shirts regrouped for the bronze-medal contest and produced a complete performance against China.
The victory secured another medal for Pakistan at the Aichi-Nagoya Games and marked a successful finish to the volleyball team’s Asian Games campaign.
