RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Pakistan Navy ships HUNAIN and YARMOOK have seized more than 2,800 kilograms of narcotics worth approximately $750 million during a joint counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea.
The ships intercepted a suspicious boat while conducting a routine patrol and recovered the narcotics from concealed compartments during a boarding operation, according to the Pakistan Navy.

The seizure comes three days after the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards, in coordination with the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC), foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of contraband in Balochistan’s Pishukan area.
That operation resulted in the seizure of liquor and illegal medicines.
Naval Operation
The latest operation highlights continued maritime surveillance and interdiction efforts by the Pakistan Navy to prevent the use of Pakistani waters for illicit trafficking.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, commended the officers and crew for their professionalism and vigilance.
He reaffirmed the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime security and combating illicit trafficking at sea.
The two operations underline continued coordination among Pakistan’s maritime and security agencies against smuggling and other illicit activities along the country’s coastline.
