ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan has performed a soft launch of International Defense Exhibition IDEAS 2024, scheduled to take place in Karachi this November.
Speaking at the soft launch ceremony in Islamabad, Jam Kamal highlighted the dual role of Pakistan’s defence industry, which not only fulfills the needs of the country’s armed forces but also has the potential to export competitively priced products.
Khan noted that IDEAS 2024 has become a significant venue for defence exhibitors, high-level defence delegations, analysts, and trade visitors from around the globe. He emphasized that the event provides an excellent platform for fostering better understanding, building relationships, networking within the defence sector, and finding cost-effective solutions to industry challenges.
Earlier, Major General Asad Nawaz Khan, Director General of the Defence Export Promotion Organization, described IDEAS as a collective vision for global peace, stability, and cooperation among nations.
He underscored Pakistan’s growing opportunities to become a key global player in defence, research, scientific development, manufacturing, and joint ventures to enhance defence capabilities and exports.
