ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday welcomed positive developments arising from the peace dialogue held in Riyadh from September 14 to 18, 2023, involving officials from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and the Sultanate of Oman.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson in a statement said this dialogue was aimed at establishing a roadmap for the peace process in Yemen.
Pakistan also commended the Saudi initiative facilitating talks between the Saudi Defense Minister and the Sana’a delegation.

The statement said this initiative reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s constructive approach under the wise leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Saudi Arabia’s support for Yemen and its people, as well as its encouragement of Yemeni parties to engage in dialogue for a comprehensive, enduring, and peaceful political resolution under the auspices of the United Nations, is highly valued.
The statement further said Pakistan reaffirms its steadfast support for a political solution to the Yemeni crisis through dialogue and consultations.
