ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Army team, represented by the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), has secured first position at the International Pacesticking Competition 2026 held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.
The PMA contingent delivered a standout performance, winning all major honours at the prestigious annual event, including the Overall Team Trophy, Best Pace Sticker Award and Best Driver Award.
The nine-member Pakistani team, led by Major Haider Gulzar, Adjutant of the Pakistan Military Academy, arrived in the UK on 5 June to participate in the competition.

A total of 16 teams from military academies and armed forces around the world participated in the event, which is regarded as one of the premier displays of military drill, discipline, and ceremonial excellence.
The victory underscores the high standards of professional training, precision and dedication maintained by the Pakistan Army and reflects the country’s strong performance on the international military stage.

Pakistani participants have also earned individual honours, including the prestigious Best Individual Drill Sergeant award.
The competition is regarded as a rigorous test of military precision, discipline and ceremonial drill standards, attracting elite contingents from armed forces around the world.
