PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Prosecution Department on Friday submitted a petition to the Peshawar High Court (PHC) asking for the revocation of bail of the suspects involved in vandalism and arson on May 9 and 10.
An anti-terrorism court in Peshawar had issued release orders of 310 suspects detained concerning various crimes, including ransacking and vandalism of the Radio Pakistan and Election Commission offices.
The K-P government said that the accused damaged private property and the accused freed on bail may commit such crimes again.
The provincial government has asked the PHC to overturn the ATC Peshawar’s order and allow the detention of the accused.
