ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced a detailed traffic diversion plan in the federal capital ahead of the arrival of foreign delegations this week, as authorities prepare for enhanced security measures across key routes.
According to the advisory, the Red Zone and Extended Red Zone in Islamabad will remain completely closed to all types of vehicular movement during the visit.

The restrictions will come into effect from Monday, 19, and will stay in place until the completion of high-level diplomatic engagements in the city.
Officials said the measures are part of routine security arrangements for sensitive diplomatic activity, which often requires strict surveillance and temporary road closures in central areas of the capital.
A two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, agreed earlier this month, is set to expire on April 22, creating a narrow window for diplomacy as efforts intensify to prevent a return to conflict.
The initial round of talks in Islamabad, held on April 11–12, succeeded in keeping communication channels open, with mediators now pushing for a second round of negotiations in the Pakistani capital
