DUBAI, UAE: Pakistan’s emerging batter Hasan Nawaz has made a stunning 62-place jump in the latest ICC T20I batting rankings, while all-rounder Saim Ayub has also climbed following Pakistan’s Asian Games 2026 campaign and the opening T20I between India and the West Indies.
Hasan Nawaz’s rise comes after his match-winning effort against India in the Asian Games final, where he scored a fighting 96 off 57 balls with seven sixes despite Pakistan eventually losing the gold-medal match by 19 runs.

Sahibzada Farhan holds third spot
Newly appointed Pakistan T20I captain Sahibzada Farhan has retained third position in the batting rankings with 818 points. India’s Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma continue to occupy the first and second positions respectively.
Saim Ayub has moved one place up to 38th with 566 points, while former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has slipped four places to 45th with 544 points.
Salman Ali Agha, who was recently removed as Pakistan’s T20I captain, has dropped three places to 48th.
Hasan Nawaz has now joined him at 48th but with 536 points after his impressive performance against India. His 62-place rise is one of the biggest movements in the latest rankings.

Left-handed batter Fakhar Zaman has meanwhile dropped 10 places to 82nd with 471 points.
Abrar Ahmed drops as Rashid Khan reclaims no. 1
There was also movement in the T20I bowling rankings, with Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed losing his top position. He has dropped to second place with 718 points, allowing Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan to reclaim the number one ranking.

Australia’s Adam Zampa has retained third position.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz has fallen four places from eighth to 12th with 645 points, while Salman Mirza has dropped seven places to 23rd with 623 points.
Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has also slipped three places to 36th with 590 points.
Sufiyan Muqeem has retained 50th position with 546 points, while Saim Ayub has climbed eight places to 62nd among the bowlers. Usman Tariq has dropped seven places to 63rd, while Shadab Khan has slipped two places to 77th.
