SYLHET, Bangladesh: Bangladesh have climbed above India into fifth place in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 standings following a commanding 78-run victory over Pakistan in the second Test at Sylhet. The win completed a 2–0 series whitewash for the hosts.

In the WTC standings, Bangladesh now have two wins, one defeat, and one draw from four matches, collecting 28 points with a win percentage of 58.33. This pushes India down to sixth place. India have four wins, four defeats, and one draw from nine Tests, with 52 points and a win percentage of 48.15.
Pakistan have dropped to eighth place, managing just one win and three defeats from four matches, with only four points and a win percentage of 8.33.
At the top, Australia remain first with seven wins and one defeat from eight matches (84 points, 87.50%), followed by New Zealand in second and South Africa in third.
In the ICC Test rankings (separate from WTC), Bangladesh’s consecutive series wins over Pakistan are expected to boost their position significantly, while Pakistan continue to slide.
