RIYADH: Spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Major General Turki Al-Malki announced on Wednesday that a ballistic missile launch platform, which was used in an attack on Riyadh, has been destroyed.

The Spokesperson stated that the platform was located in Sana’a and was being prepared for an imminent attack against Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Earlier, the Coalition Spokesperson said that a ballistic missile launched by Houthis was intercepted and destroyed north of Riyadh.

He confirmed that the Coalition is tracking the launch platform over Sana’a using its intelligence systems and will destroy it.

In another statement, Coalition spokesman Major General Turki Al-Maliki said that a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis towards Khamis Mushait was intercepted and destroyed.

He said Sana’a, Saada and Amran were the sources of Houthi missile threats, adding that the coalition continued to neutralise ballistic and surface-to-surface missile threats and target their sources.

Muslim Countries Condemn Houthi Attacks

Muslim nations strongly condemned the Houthis’ continued targeting of civilians and economic infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, as well as the targeting of Saudi ships in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

In a statement carried by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the Houthis continued attacks on civilians and economic assets in Saudi Arabia, as well as the targeting of Saudi ships in the southern Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasised that such continued targeting constitutes a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability.

The ministry affirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for all measures taken to safeguard the Kingdom’s security and stability.

Kuwait strongly condemned the continued blatant and disgraceful attacks by the Houthis against Makkah and Madinah in Saudi Arabia, the foreign ministry said.

The ministry said the attacks provoke the sentiments of Muslims worldwide and represent a dangerous escalation in violating the sanctity of Islamic holy sites.

It also condemned attacks targeting Riyadh and other Saudi cities, as well as civilians, civilian and economic facilities, and vessels in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandab Strait, warning that such actions threaten regional security and maritime safety.
