RAWALPINDI: In a sweeping crackdown, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted multiple operations across Pakistan, resulting in the confiscation of over 420 kilograms of drugs and the ARREST of five suspects.

The ANF operations targeted various locations, uncovering a range of illicit substances destined for both national and international trafficking.

One operation, executed in Rawalpindi, intercepted a parcel bound for Bahrain at a courier office, revealing 800 grams of the potent drug Ice. Another operation in Islamabad led to the arrest of an individual in possession of 100 ecstasy tablets.

In Multan, near Sher Shah Toll Plaza, ANF intercepted a vehicle, seizing 24 kilograms of hashish and arresting a suspect. Similar interventions occurred on the Super Highway in Karachi, PDA Motorway Peshawar, and the Bonstan area of Panjgur, resulting in the discovery of hashish and Ice drugs hidden in vehicles.

The ANF’s seventh operation targeted a house near the Habib Zai area of Qila Abdullah, unearthing 279.2 kilograms of hashish. All the seized drugs were evidently destined for smuggling, reflecting the ongoing efforts to curb the illicit drug trade.

Separate cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered against the arrested individuals, marking a significant stride in ANF’s continuous battle against narcotics-related crimes.
