Babar Azam Sets to Tie Knot in November

LAHORE: Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team, is set to tie knot with his cousin in November of this year, sources told a news channel.

A close friend of Babar Azam has confirmed that the cricketer’s family is planning to schedule his wedding dates after International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup to be held in India in October-November of this year.

Babar Azam will embark on this new chapter of his life prior to the significant Australia Test tour scheduled in December this year.

Currently, the right-handed batter is actively participating in the fourth season of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) as a representative of the Colombo Strikers.

He will join the Pakistan squad in Hambantota for a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan, commencing on August 22. Afghanistan and Pakistan will play three matches on August 22, 24 and 26 and will be followed by the Asia Cup.

The Asia Cup for this year is set to take place in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Hosts Pakistan will take on Nepal in the tournament’s opener on August 30 in Multan.

Lahore will serve as the venue for three matches, while Kandy and Colombo will host a total of nine matches, including the final.

During the Asia Cup, India will exclusively play their matches in Sri Lanka. The eagerly anticipated clash between Pakistan and India is planned for September 2, and a potential rematch between the two rivals could occur on September 10 if they both advance. If the beat their respective opponents in semi-finals the fans will get to see another high-octane contest on September 17.
