KARACHI: Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, also known as “Kashmir Exploitation Day,” will be observed in Karachi on August 5 (tomorrow), commemorating the 4th anniversary of India’s annexation of Indian Illegal Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The day marks four years of the illegal and brutal military siege imposed by the Indian government in IIOJK. As a show of solidarity with the people of IIOJK and their right to self-determination, a one-minute silence will be observed.

Solidarity with Kashmiri People

To symbolize unity and support, the flags of Pakistan and Kashmir will be hoisted together at prominent places across the metropolis. The day’s observance will include various events such as public gatherings, rallies, walks, seminars, and photo exhibitions in all districts of Sindh.

In a bid to raise global awareness about the atrocities committed by the Indian forces in IIOJK, digital screens will be set up in major cities, displaying documentaries depicting the plight of the people in the region.

The observance of Kashmir Exploitation Day in Karachi and other parts of the country reflects the ongoing commitment of Pakistan and its people to the Kashmir cause, advocating for the rights and freedom of the Kashmiri people in the occupied territory.
