PESHAWAR: Security forces on Sunday repulsed an attack on a security checkpost in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district, local media reported.
An attacker fired shots and threw a hand grenade at the security checkpost, but Frontier Corps (FC) and police personnel’s response and counteraction forced the assailant to flee.

Reports said that there were, fortunately, no casualties in the terrorist attack. Earlier, On July 21, four terrorist attacks were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan in just 48 hours, including one in Peshawar, where authorities were successful in foiling it.
A police personnel, on July 20, was martyred, and 10 others were wounded after a terrorist blew himself up when the police intercepted him and his assistant while entering the Bara tehsil complex
