ISLAMABAD: The National Security Committee (NSC) Friday discussed the security situation in the country after series of terrorist attacks on a school van in Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including attack on school van.
The meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office under the chairmanship of PM Shehbaz Sharif. Relevant federal ministers, lawmakers, services chiefs, and heads of intelligence agencies attended the meeting, a local TV reported.
The security situation in the wake of terrorist attacks in Swat and other parts of the country and proposals to deal with the resurgent terrorist elements were discussed. Security officials also give a briefing on the security situation.
The participants hailed the armed forces, rangers, police officers, and personnel from other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for sacrificing their lives in the line of duty.
