Power has been restored in Faisalabad and Multan region after an ‘accidental fault’ in the national grid’s southern power transmission system left several parts of the country without power, said Minister for Energy Khurram Dastgir at a press conference.
The breakdown caused a shortfall of 8,000-megawatt electricity, out of which 4,000 megawatts has been restored. Power restoration in Karachi and Quetta is under way, he said.
