ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police department’s ‘Knock the Door’ campaign to register tenants and domestic servants is in full swing, with teams going door-to-door to ensure their registration.
During the last 24 hours, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Islamabad registered 139 house servants and tenants of 78 houses under the jurisdiction of Shalimar Police Station.
According to a police spokesman, this campaign aims to prevent any untoward incidents by maintaining law and order in the federal capital.
Purpose of campaign
He stated that this exercise would aid in keeping a close eye on miscreants and suspects.
However, the spokesman urged citizens to ask for a person’s identity if someone dressed in plain clothes comes to their home to collect data.
Unregistered employees and tenants may be involved in serious crimes such as theft and robbery by impersonating ordinary citizens.
He stated that Islamabad Capital Police was using all of its resources to provide a safe environment for the citizens of the federal capital.
