ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: There is a likelihood that the moon of Ramazan 2023 will be sighted on the evening of March 22, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

According to the Met Office’s Climate Data Processing Centre forecast, the first of Ramazan will likely fall in Pakistan on Thursday, March 23.

When is Ramazan starting in Pakistan?

According to the climate record, the weather in most areas of the country is expected to be pleasant and partly cloudy during the Ramazan moon sighting, with a likelihood of rainfall in the starting days of the holy month.

Earlier, chief meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz shared there might be chances of Ramazan falling on March 23, saying the sky was expected to remain transparent so the moon could be easily sighted.

The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee called the meeting to see the moon on March 22. A spokesman said the appointments of zonal committees would be held in their respective offices.
