PM Shehbaz Summons Crucial Session of Coalition Political Parties

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday summoned a meeting of the heads of the coalition political parties of the federal government to discuss the current political situation.

PM Shehbaz summoned a key session of the coalition partners on Monday (tomorrow) at 2:00 pm to discuss the prevailing political situation and finalize the future strategy.

The invitations have been dispatched to the heads of the coalition political parties by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are expected to remain absent from the upcoming session.

Bilawal will lay a foundation stone for an important project in Karachi tomorrow, whereas Asif Zardari is currently on a private trip to Dubai.

The Peoples Party leadership will decide on the names for participating in tomorrow’s PM Shehbaz-led session. According to media reports, a delegation of the political party is expected to attend the meeting.

PM Shehbaz meeting with Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz

Today’s relevant development, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) top leadership, Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Maryam Nawaz, held a crucial meeting to discuss the country’s current political and economic situation.

Maryam Nawaz arrived at Shehbaz Sharif’s residence at Jati Umarh. PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif participated in the meeting via video link.

Media reported that matters related to the country’s economic and political situation were discussed during the meeting. The PML-N leadership expressed ‘serious concern’ over the ‘assault’ on law enforcement agencies (LEAs) by PTI workers.

During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif directed Prime Minister Shehbaz to ensure law enforcement at any cost. “We have always respected state institutions and the judiciary. We had always appeared before the court whenever summoned,” the PML-N supremo said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz into confidence over the meeting of coalition parties – summoned tomorrow.

Media reported that Nawaz Sharif directed Shehbaz Sharif to make decisions in consultation with the coalition parties. He also issued directives to give preference to party workers who made sacrifices in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab elections.
