ISLAMABAD: All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in Indian Illegally-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) said on Friday that no permanent peace in South Asia was possible without the Kashmir solution.
It said in a statement that the blood of the innocent Kashmiris will not go waste.
An APHC spokesperson said that Indian forces have been committing the worst kind of human rights violations in Kashmir and the United Nations (UN) and other international rights organizations need to show seriousness to settle the lingering Kashmir conflict.
He said that the only easy solution to the Kashmir problem was holding an impartial referendum in the valley as per the UN resolutions for which a favourable atmosphere should be created.
He further said that Kashmiris have been facing Indian atrocities and barbarism for the past 73 years and if the UN still does not settle the conflict, the peace of the world may be in danger.
APHC terms Kashmir lingering issue of South Asia
The spokesperson appealed to the world body to implement its relevant resolutions on Kashmir so that the Kashmiri people could be able to decide their own political future and the lingering issue of South Asia could be resolved. — APP
