ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan on Saturday slammed PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz and the leaders of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) for launching a shameless and scathing attack against judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) amid hearing of suo motu case regarding the delay in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab general elections.
Imran Khan made the comment after Maryam Nawaz criticized two serving judges of the apex court during the workers’ convention in Sargodha, and leaders of the ruling alliance also raised objections against the same judges over their inclusion in the SC bench hearing the suo motu case.
In a series of tweets, the PTI chief recalled the PDM leadership had dared the party to dissolve the provincial assemblies for fresh general elections.
Imran Khan says PDM violating Constitution
‘PDM leadership has been challenging us to dissolve Punjab and KP assemblies if we want elections! Now, when confronted, PDM is petrified of elections knowing they will be decimated,” Imran Khan wrote, adding that they were maligning the apex court judges and ready to violate the Constitution to delay elections.
Shameless & calculated attacks on SC judges by PDM & spoilt brat Maryam, nurtured on corruption money, have one purpose only – to run away from elections even by violating Constitution. By attacking SCP, they are damaging the Federation & ensuring law of jungle prevails in Pak.
