ISLAMABAD: A District and Sessions Judge in Karachi on Tuesday ordered the issuance of bailable warrants for several individuals associated with The Resource Group International Limited (TRG).
The order comes after the judge took cognizance in a criminal defamation suit filed by the founder of TRG Group Zia Chishti.
The warrants were issued after the court took cognizance that violations had been made under Pakistan Penal Code’s sections 499, 500, and 501, causing distress and humiliation to the complainant.
The respondents comprise senior management and the board of directors at TRG International. These include TRG International CEO and TRG Pakistan Chairman Mohammad Khaishg, TRG International Director and TRG Pakistan CEO Hasnain Aslam, TRG International General Counsel Pat Costello, and TRG International Group Director Finance Hassan Farooq.
Other respondents facing warrants
Other respondents include TRG International Directors John Leone, Patrick McGinnis, Waleed Tariq Saigol, Zafar Iqbal Sobani, and Khaldoon Bin Latif.
