RAWALPINDI: Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan has rewritten the record books by scoring the most runs in a three-match bilateral Twenty20 International (T20I) series between two full-member nations, finishing his impressive campaign against Sri Lanka with 238 runs.

The right-handed batter surpassed India’s Abhishek Sharma, who scored 229 runs against Afghanistan earlier in 2026, as Farhan made his first home assignment as Pakistan’s full-time T20I captain memorable with half-centuries in all three matches.

Farhan finished the series with an outstanding average of 79.33 and a strike rate of 165.27, earning the Player of the Series award despite Pakistan losing the final match.

The 30-year-old opened his campaign with a match-winning 89 off 53 balls, featuring 10 fours and four sixes, as Pakistan chased down Sri Lanka’s target of 183 runs to secure a four-wicket victory.
