KABUL, Afghanistan: The Afghanistan Freedom Front has released images showing the bodies of 10 Taliban fighters, it says were killed in recent clashes in Kamdesh district of Nuristan.
The images show men in military clothing and equipment, with several carrying weapons. The faces of some fighters are visible, while others are difficult to identify.
Fighting between Freedom Front forces and the Taliban resumed on Tuesday morning, 29 September, in Kamdesh district.
Local sources said the clashes began after a Taliban attack and were continuing. Both sides have claimed to have inflicted significant casualties on the other during the fighting.
The Freedom Front said its forces had inflicted heavy losses on the Taliban and released images that it said showed the aftermath of the clashes. Some of the images show bodies with serious injuries and extensive damage.
