Several Afghan Taliban fighters were killed during the retaliatory action, according to the sources.

Tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border have increased in recent days amid a series of security incidents.
Pakistan earlier conducted precision aerial and drone strikes at 10 locations inside Afghanistan in response to drone attacks launched from Afghan territory, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said.
The latest developments come as Islamabad continues to raise concerns over militant activity and cross-border attacks originating from Afghan territory.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has warned that Pakistan would give a befitting response to any terrorist attack from Afghanistan, condemning continuing terrorist attacks from Afghan soil.
Talking to media in New York, Shehbaz Sharif condemned continuing terrorist attacks in Pakistan and said terrorists operating from Afghan territory were responsible for the rising violence.
He said Pakistan would not relent until the “curse of terrorism” was eliminated and made clear that attacks against Pakistani security personnel would receive a strong response.
The prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace while protecting its national security and sovereignty.
