ISLAMABAD: Cambridge International Education has announced the results of its June 2026 AS and A-level examinations, with almost 368,000 students worldwide receiving their results on Tuesday.
More than 100,000 students in Pakistan were among those who appeared in Cambridge International examinations this year, with candidates from more than 850 schools across the country taking AS and A-level, O-level and IGCSE examinations.
Cambridge said results for its IGCSE and O-level examinations will be released on August 18, when more than 315,000 students globally are expected to receive their grades.
In Pakistan, Physics, Mathematics, Business, Chemistry and Computer Science remained among the most popular subjects chosen by Cambridge candidates.
Rod Smith, Group Managing Director for International Education at Cambridge, congratulated students receiving their results and said the continued growth in AS and A-level entries reflected the value placed on both academic knowledge and skills required by universities and employers.
He said more students were opting for AS and A-level qualifications because they provide in-depth subject knowledge while developing skills that are increasingly important in a world being transformed by artificial intelligence.
Cambridge’s Country Director for Pakistan, Uzma Yousuf, also congratulated students and acknowledged the challenges faced by some candidates during the examination year.
“This has not been an ordinary year,” Yousuf said, noting that some students had prepared for their examinations amid regional tensions, uncertainty and disruption.
She said these circumstances made the students’ achievements particularly significant and urged learners to take time to recognise their efforts.
Yousuf also thanked teachers, parents and school communities across Pakistan for supporting students throughout the academic year.
She said Cambridge viewed education as extending beyond examination results, with the aim of helping young people develop the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to succeed at university, in their careers and in wider life.

Cambridge said its International AS and A-level qualifications are recognised by universities, organisations and government bodies around the world.
The examination body also highlighted recent UCAS application data showing that 98% of Cambridge International A-level students who applied to UK universities during the 2025 application cycle received at least one offer.
Cambridge said its qualifications provide students with opportunities to pursue higher education both in their home countries and overseas, while preparing them for further study and employment in a rapidly changing global environment.
The release of the AS and A-level results marks the first stage of this year’s Cambridge results cycle, with IGCSE and O-level candidates due to receive their results next week.
