QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has said youth engagement remains a major priority of the provincial government, with work underway on several projects aimed at creating employment opportunities and improving public services across the province.
Speaking during an open X Space discussion, the chief minister said the government was focusing on practical initiatives for the youth of every district of Balochistan, including Gwadar.
He said several development projects were being implemented to provide better employment opportunities and bring young people into constructive social and economic activity.
CM Bugti said the provincial government had introduced pension reforms, an electric vehicles policy, reduction in unnecessary expenses and comprehensive reforms in several departments for the first time.
He added that special funds had been allocated through the Education Endowment Fund and scholarships to promote higher education in Balochistan.
The chief minister said a Rs4 billion project would ensure high-speed internet connectivity in all government schools, colleges, universities and health centres across the province.
During the discussion, CM Bugti said the Baloch Solidarity Committee had made a nefarious attempt to incite the public to violence under the guise of missing persons and public rights.
He said a few violent elements could not weaken the writ of the state in the presence of Pakistan’s highly professional and capable armed forces.
