ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and welcomed what they described as encouraging progress towards an understanding between the United States and Iran.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Sunday, the discussion focused on recent developments in the region and the importance of continued diplomatic engagement aimed at reducing tensions.

Dar and Fidan expressed optimism that the positive momentum in contacts between Washington and Tehran would help promote lasting peace and stability in the wider region. They underscored the need for dialogue and constructive efforts to address regional challenges through peaceful means.
The two foreign ministers also agreed to remain in close coordination and maintain regular contact regarding further developments. The conversation reflected the close diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, as both countries continue to consult on key regional and international issues and support initiatives aimed at fostering stability and peace.
