DAVOS: Climate Change Minister of Pakistan, Sherry Rehman met with Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Affairs Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.
Climate change on International agenda
The two ministers discussed international efforts to curb climate change, bilateral relations and major topics on the agenda of the World Economic Forum annual conference, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Adel Al-Jubeir also participated as a panel speaker on accelerating climate action while maintaining energy security on the sidelines of the conference. Al-Jubeir touched on Saudi Arabia’s efforts for better environment and initiatives to tackle climate change, including the Middle East Green Initiative and the Saudi Green Initiative and in addition to many programmes focusing on carbon neutrality and renewable energy.
