Saudi Arabia, Turkiye Sign Visa Agreement in Ankara

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan on Wednesday signed an agreement granting mutual visa exemptions for holders of diplomatic and special passports.

Earlier, the two diplomats held a meeting where the two sides reviewed relations between their countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

They also discussed regional developments and explored ways to maintain security and stability in the region.

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived in Ankara on Wednesday to co-chair the third meeting of the Saudi-Turkish Coordination Council.

The meeting is being held as part of efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries across a range of sectors, with the aim of advancing shared interests and ensuring continued coordination on regional and international issues.

Relations between Saudi Arabia and Turkiye have evolved significantly, with both countries working to strengthen political, economic, and defence cooperation.

In recent years, ties have further improved with high-level visits and agreements aimed at boosting trade and investment.
