Batting struggles from the start
Lahore’s innings never gained steady momentum, losing wickets at regular intervals. Openers Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem provided a brief spark, with Fakhar scoring 20 off 11 balls, including four boundaries, before falling to Alzarri Joseph. Naeem departed soon after for 4.
Abdullah Shafique labored to 17 off 22 deliveries before being stumped off Usman Tariq. The middle order offered little resistance, with Charith Asalanka (6), Mohammad Farooq (2), and captain Shaheen Shah Afridi (0) all falling cheaply.

Lower order rescue attempt
Wicketkeeper Haseebullah Khan top-scored with a patient 33 off 37 balls, striking four boundaries. Sikandar Raza contributed 15 before falling to Usman Tariq.
A late flurry from Usama Mir, who smashed 22 off just seven deliveries including three sixes, briefly lifted the total before Lahore lost their final two wickets on consecutive balls. Daniel Sams remained unbeaten on 12.

Quetta’s bowling excellence
Quetta Gladiators’ bowlers delivered a disciplined and incisive performance. Usman Tariq was the pick of the attack, claiming three wickets for just 18 runs in his four overs. Jahandad Khan also took three wickets, conceding 35 runs. Alzarri Joseph chipped in with two crucial wickets, while Saqib Khan claimed one.
Abrar Ahmed and captain Saud Shakeel bowled economically without taking wickets.
