The two sides also addressed several issues of mutual interest, the statement added.
Russia and Saudi Arabia maintain strong relations, particularly in the areas of energy cooperation and regional diplomacy.
Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussed developments on the regional and international fronts.
Both countries have worked closely within the OPEC framework to coordinate oil production policies and stabilise global energy markets.
In addition, Moscow and Riyadh continue dialogue on trade, investment, and regional security issues of mutual interest.
In December last year, both countries signed an agreement on granting mutual visa-free entry for citizens of their countries.
The accord was concluded on the sidelines of the Saudi–Russian Investment and Business Forum in Riyadh.
Bilateral trade between Saudi Arabia and Russia has grown significantly in recent years. In 2024, mutual trade expanded by more than 60 %, exceeding $3.8 billion, and in the first quarter of 2025, it surged fourfold compared with the previous year, underscoring rapidly rising economic engagement.
