ISLAMABAD: The United Arab Emirates’ Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday to strengthen the bilateral cooperation.
He was received by Interior and Narcotics Control Minister Mohsin Naqvi upon his arrival at the airport in Khairpur District, southern Sindh.
During the visit, the two leaders jointly marked the UAE National Day, cutting a ceremonial cake.
The interior minister also held a formal meeting with Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, during which bilateral cooperation, matters of mutual interest, and future joint initiatives were discussed.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening ties rooted in mutual trust, respect, and longstanding friendship.

Mohsin Naqvi reiterated that Pakistan and the UAE continue to work closely to expand cooperation across multiple sectors.
The UAE is Pakistan’s third-largest trading partner after China and the United States, and a major source of foreign investment, valued at over $10 billion in the last 20 years, according to the UAE foreign ministry.
It is also home to more than a million Pakistani expatriates who send back more than $5 billion in remittances to the South Asian country annually.
