RIYADH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday to discuss recent Israeli attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem. According to Saudi Press Agency, the OIC will discuss the matter in the meeting of its Executive Committee in Jeddah.

The meeting will discuss escalating Israeli activity in occupied Jerusalem. The OIC will also raise the issue of a “provocative” visit by Israel’s far-right Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir to the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It also comes in light of Israel’s attempts to change its historical and legal status.

Earlier, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) General Secretariat strongly condemned the visit Israel’s Minister to the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The OIC termed it “a provocation of Muslim sentiments and a deliberate violation of international resolutions.”
