ISLAMABAD: Federal authorities on Thursday announced notable progress in the investigation into the suicide bombing outside the Federal Judicial Complex in Islamabad earlier this week, confirming several key facilitators and handlers have been detained.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi told reporters that the individuals arrested “played central roles in the planning, sheltering and logistical arrangements” of the attacker.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary stated the network greatly depended on familial and tribal links to hide operatives and facilitate movement within the capital. “This structure complicated detection and demonstrates the adaptive methods militants are employing,” he said.
Initial leads came from digital forensics and intercepted communications, guiding investigators towards operations in Rawalpindi and northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Security experts on X — including @ Zardsi, @ Ihsantipu, and @ Mr _ khattak 2004 — reported some detainees are relatives of previously identified militants, affirming official statements.
