WASHINGTON: Elon Musk’s name has surfaced in newly released documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein, including a mention of a possible visit to Epstein’s private island.
According to Sky News, files submitted to the US House Oversight Committee by the Epstein Estate show that Musk was invited to the island in December 2014.
A note dated 6 December of that year states: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec 6 (is this still happening?).” Musk has previously said that while he was invited by Epstein, he declined the offer.
The documents also name Prince Andrew in relation to a flight taken on Epstein’s private jet. A manifest for a flight from Teterboro, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida, on 12 May 2000 lists the Duke of York as a passenger, alongside Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, according to the BBC.
Sex trafficking
Maxwell was later convicted in 2021 for her role in Epstein’s sex trafficking operations. Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
In addition, a redacted ledger includes two entries for massage payments associated with someone identified only as “Andrew” in February and May 2000.
While travel records and media coverage show Prince Andrew was in the US around that period, it remains unclear whether the entries refer to him.
Other prominent individuals
Buckingham Palace’s official website noted that Prince Andrew traveled to New York on 11 May 2000 for a charity reception and returned to the UK on 15 May.
These revelations come from the third batch of documents released by the Epstein Estate to the House Oversight Committee.
The records include flight logs, passenger manifests, financial ledgers, Epstein’s daily schedules, and phone message logs.
Other prominent individuals mentioned in the documents include Peter Thiel and Steve Bannon, a former advisor to Donald Trump.
