LOS ANGELES: Pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce are moving into the early stages of planning their wedding following Kelce’s proposal last month, US media reported.
According to US Weekly, Swift is exploring ideas for what insiders describe as a “fairytale wedding,” although no venue or date has yet been confirmed. Sources told the outlet that the ceremony is likely to take place early next year.
“It’s still in the very early planning stages. There is no venue or location set yet,” the report quoted one insider as saying.
Swift is said to be enjoying the creative process of researching venues, with the couple leaning towards a private, intimate gathering of family and close friends rather than a celebrity-filled spectacle.
“They don’t want to have a big, over-the-top wedding with a ton of people,” the insider added. “It will be meaningful, and they will be surrounded by people who are special to them.”
The singer, 35, has reportedly been approached by nearly every major fashion designer offering to create her wedding gown. Sources, cited by US media, said she has been “blown away and flattered” by the interest but has yet to make a decision.
Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, also hinted at the couple’s future during a recent interview cited by Access Hollywood, saying they were “taking things day by day.”
While avoiding specifics, he expressed enthusiasm about building a strong foundation for their relationship without rushing major decisions.
The couple’s romance has drawn intense media attention, with Swift’s appearances at NFL games frequently making headlines and even influencing merchandise sales of Kelce’s jersey.
Both have acknowledged the pressures of being in the public eye while stressing the importance of setting boundaries and maintaining privacy.
