RIYADH: The Saudi aid agency KSrelief continues to provide vital assistance in crisis-affected countries, working to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable communities.
In Lebanon’s Western Beqaa region, 469 food aid packages were distributed to support 2,345 individuals as part of a relief project targeting the most vulnerable families, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
In Syria’s Damascus governorate, KSrelief provided 314 boxes of food aid to families affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, KSrelief distributed 5,500 boxes of food supplies under a programme aimed at supporting Afghan refugees returning to their homeland. Approximately 33,000 people from the provinces of Kabul, Kandahar, and Nangarhar benefited from the assistance.
KSrelief also distributed shelter aid, including 4,882 tents and other household supplies, to more than 34,000 displaced individuals across 13 provinces, SPA added.
In July, KSrelief launched a food security and emergency response project in Afghanistan, distributing 5,000 food boxes in Nangarhar province. The initiative benefited 30,000 individuals who had recently returned from Pakistan.
