NEOM: Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia on Monday received a phone call from President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas during which they discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and their security and humanitarian ramifications.
At the start of the call, President Abbas expressed deep appreciation for the Kingdom’s efforts and principled positions, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince, which led many countries to commit to recognising the State of Palestine, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
He also praised the Kingdom’s leadership for its vigorous efforts to coordinate positions and secure broad international support for the Palestinian cause during the recent conference in New York. He highlighted Saudi Arabia’s consistent stance and ongoing commitment to standing with the Palestinian people and their just struggle.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, including their security and humanitarian implications.
The Crown Prince reiterated the Kingdom’s strong condemnation of the crimes, brutal practices, and attempts at forced displacement being carried out against the Palestinian people.
He emphasised the urgent need for the international community to act to end the devastating consequences of the aggression and to ensure the protection of civilians.
