RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan has received a written message from Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov regarding bilateral ties between the two countries and peoples, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.
The message was delivered to the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eng. Waleed El-Khereiji, during his meeting with the Ambassador of Russia to Saudi Arabia, Sergey Kozlov, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral ties and ways to further develop them in various fields, in addition to addressing issues of mutual interest.
It is pertinent to mention that in March, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed the developments in the Ukraine crisis with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as part of the kingdom’s ongoing efforts to resolve the Moscow-Kyiv conflict.
The conversation was held over the phone, which came after a meeting in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah between Ukrainian and US officials aimed at ending the Moscow-Kyiv war, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
